Appeal for rejected Gym removal

I submitted the removal of a gym, “The Lion on Las Olas.” However it was rejected, but I was not provided a reason as to why.
This strip of street, Las Olas boulevard, has wayspots and gyms from 10-11 years ago. This area has increased in popularity and size and as such a lot of these gyms and wayspots no longer exist. They belonged to stores and restaurants of years passed, and I would like to remove them and add newer more up to date POIs that can get this current generation interested in visiting and see downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

Hello and welcome,

There is never a reason given as to why a removal request is rejected. Do know that removal requests are reviewed by staff, and they make the determination with the info they have been provided with and have available to them.

It’s possible that you may need to provide some additional info in regards to this area to confirm that these Wayspots no longer exist, such as photos or a Scaniverse splat. Staff also needs location info, too, to look at any removal request appeal, such as street addresses or coordinates (lat/long), as I see Las Olas Blvd is quite a few miles long. Once the additional info has been received, then the appeal can be looked further into.

Please follow the example template when submitting an appeal.
When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title:
  • Location (lat/lon):
  • City:
  • Country:
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
  • Additional Information (if any):

Thanks for the appeal, @JonR713. Due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to remove the Wayspot in question. If you have additional evidence to share like geotagged images or photospheres, please submit a new appeal with additional information and we’ll take another look.
