I didnt realize that you couldn’t change it and I randomly chose Amsterdam I was there, is there a way to edit it at all? It’s so pointless for me to review there as I don’t know Dutch or the area.

The bonus location allows you change several times a year.
The home location is the one you set and can’t change.

Yes they will reset it because, obviously, people do move home.
OP is asking about the “Bonus” location not the “Home” location.
Normally the Bonus location can be changed every 3 months but staff will usually reset it as a one off.
Ah, misunderstood your post. Anyway, they did reset my home location (although I realise I’ve moved twice more since then!).
Just a tip for folks that are curious:
You have a Play area, Home area, and Bonus location. These give you your review regions. So to avoid overlap (and not limit your reviews) pick a place for your Home location that you are very familiar with but NOT where you currently live. You’ll get those in your review anyways because it’s your play area.
Thanks for putting me right. It was years ago but now I remember what happened. I had indeed set my home location to my home, thinking that home meant home, and staff reset it so I could move it elsewhere.
I do wish these were named and utilised in a different way.

Do we have confirmation of how “Play Area” works.
Just IMO it seems that I get extremely low numbers of Reviews in my “Play Area” even though there has been a large number of new wayspots. The vast majority come from the surrounding areas (plus Bonus Location).
My assumption was that this was to reduce the risk of “Review Circles” but I am open to it being just coincidence…
With nearly 14k reviews I would say I have seen about a dozen in my home town…
