Community Swimming Pool

Hey all - I had a apartment/community pool rejected, what would you change?

community voters love to reject submissions in apartment complexes. but theyre wrong and as long as u didnt do something like use an incorrect location or 3rd party photo this should pass upon appeal. If i personally would change something id take a better photo, but the one you submitted should be good enough.

oh and fix your title spelling error. according to their website its Ashton not Aston.

Hi Jamal,

I’m really more surprised by the rejection reason of sensitive location. Since these often are wrongly rejected for private property - this one is surprising.

Is there something near this apartment complex that might be considered sensitive?

Otherwise I may try with a picture that focuses more on the pool and gets less of the deck.

I’ve seen people call it sensitive because people are in bathing suits at the pool. But that is not a correct rejection reason.

Wow, some people can really be prudes…

I’ve heard the reasoning of “people are uncomfortable with someone using a phone/camera at pools where kids/young teens may be in bathing suits.”

Um, everyone has a phone and uses it everywhere now.

Sure, maybe it would be good if we marked the pool as a place that shouldn’t be scanned. I would be in favor of us being able to mark certain places like pools, beaches, or playgrounds as “no scan” wayspots. But simply using a phone near those places doesn’t make you any more suspicious than any other person living in the 21st century.

I would crop the main photo to be a square, but you already knew that.

I think it’s common sense not to take a photo for a Wayspot when there are people around, but I can see your point. I’ve never scanned anything with lots of people around, just a few business signs, but I wouldn’t scan when there are people around anyways.
