Submitted Name: Bridge Over Creek
Revised Name: Wooden Bridge Over Creek - 68B Ave

Description: This bridge crosses over a small creek. It connects two sections 68B Ave. It is a useful walking path, with lovely views of a forested area that supports local wildlife.

Submitted Extra Information:
This public bridge (BR062-01) is a permanent fixture commonly used as a walking path. It is located in an area with few other pokestop locations. The creek (62D-Greenbelt) it crosses is an important area for local wildlife and flora.

Revised Extra Information:
This unique small wooden footbridge is a permanent fixture and a commonly used walking trail by locals. It is located in an area with few other pokestop locations and would round out the area’s network of POI. The city-registered greenbelt and creek it crosses is an important area for local wildlife and flora. It is a great place for exploration and a tranquil break from the city. It is a great place for exercise and is foot, bike, and wheelchair accessible. It has a small footprint, but it is a great place to be social with a small group of people.

Location:

I read each criterion for eligibility and acceptance carefully and believed that this bridge fit all of them to a reasonable degree. I’m not sure why it was automatically rejected. Do any of you have suggestions on how this submission could be improved? Any help is much appreciated.

All wayspots much meet at least one criteria: encouraging exercise, socialising or exploration. Obviously the first two don’t apply, but if it comes down to exploration I don’t see this fits. It’s just a simple and non-notable bridge on an un-named path. If the bridge was of interest itself (architecture, history etc) or if it included trailmarkers for an eligible walking trail then perhaps, really as it is it’s just a way of getting across the creek without getting your feet wet.

From the description it sounds like a promising area, I would look more for trail markers or nature signs.

Bridges on a trail can act as anchor points for the trail and help you to follow the trail.
Following a trail is exercise.
However as you say this connects two parts of 68b ave and is basically a very short connecting path.

You can easily see the other side.
So not all bridges on footpaths will be acceptable.
