I do agree, but once an information about showcase(bad or good appeal decision) being out to the public, it is hard to retract the information back even if the bad showcase being taken down. I like the idea, but there should be some asterisk.

I’m pretty certain this question pertains to areas where there has been a property owner request to remove all Pokemon GO elements. This has been explained to @Meargler but he seems to think that our desire to play a game supercedes how the property owner wants their land to be used.

I would much rather see those blocked wayspots as “other game” points on the map so I know not to bother submitting them if they won’t be allowed to appear in PGO.

For those of us who love to add wayspots, these areas are difficult to ignore, but that’s what we have to do. Not every spot can be added to PGO.

oh wow. all conversation on the proposed questions is supposed to be held here? i am incapable of following overlapping conversations. y’all have fun discussing merits. i think you all know my only issues are how to vote “correctly” anyway. and getting all reviewers to understand what “voting correctly” means.

Hi @RGTGO,

No, staff will not be participating in the question submission not voting phases. They will only participate in the response drafting phase of the AMA. Hope this helps!

Voting in keeping with the criteria and using rejection reasons appropriately. In general, reviewing as Niantic staff would expect the nomination to be reviewed. Not rejecting if the point of interest is acceptable. Not accepting if the point of interest does not meet criteria.

Well yeah, I have ignored them. Just doesn’t make it sting any less that I have to leave good real estate undeveloped. Oh well.

Just for clarification, since at times I equate the two, by staff are we talking about Niantic staff only or are the ambassadors included?

Also I don’t know if this is intentional or not, but this discussion thread doesn’t show up unless it’s filtered for.

Thanks for diving deeper and happy to be clearer here to make sure everyone understands who is participating in the vote, that’s only fair :slight_smile: so only our community members & volunteer Wayfarer Ambassadors will be able to vote BUT company employees aka staff will not; but I can see how staff can at times include volunteers. For this AMA, we can say that Wayfarer employees will not participate in voting. Since our Ambassadors are volunteers and a part of the community first, I won’t be asking them to not vote. That said, I’m fully confident that any Ambassador who chooses to vote will do so with the community’s best interests in mind, helping us gather the information that matters most to all of you.

Firstly, I’m glad for you that your appeals work. From my experience, the nominations that were rejected by Emily and that I appealed were getting quickly refused anyways and I have a strong impression that they are also reviewed by AI.

Don’t waste your time on appeals as in 99% of cases they’ll be refused anyways. Look through your initial submission, check the title, the photo and the description you’ve made and make a new submission trying to make things better instead of wasting your time. I’ve had 6 submissions refused in appeal, I’ve resubmitted 4 of them and they passed Emily and the vote! The problem wasn’t with the wayspot but either with the title or the photo (not enough contrast or bad point of view, f’e. A green color ancient water pump was in front of lush green bush, IA couldn’t detect the shape so it was rejected. When I took the photo of the same pump from the other side so that it was in fron of the road it passed, as it was clearly seen).

This isn’t factual, plenty of people have shared good success with appeals.

Are you sure noone look at the pinned threads based on the assumption that people still asking “Where’s the pokestop”.

Because I believe it work as the 99% person that check the pins ended up not posting the question due to their question already being answered, hence why you don’t see it, and only see the 1% that have trouble seeing the pin, post a question about it.
