Thanks - unfortunately the way the AMA is hosted is different this year (this time). Not accessible to anyone outside of the forums. At least they got rid of the tribalism tag from the Vanilla Forum days - that us vs. them mentality wasn’t healthy, plus we all know Hunters are the best! ![]()
Is there a limit on how many I can vote for? What is the benefit of me voting for something - will only top X voted get answered? And if so, can you share X?
Oh I’m sorry, I was detracked by real life. If none of the other moderators did it than it’s sadly over. I hope your most important questions made it into the pool.
FYI, voting has now opened up! It will be open until Oct 20th at 1pm PDT.
Voting is like how you would upvote a Bug Reports & Technical Support thread, as shown below with one of the questions in the Wayfarer AMA - 2025 topic:
Oops, put in the wrong time…So used to 12pm Pacific being the cutoff time…Sorry Tintino!
Do make sure to go through all of the questions in the Wayfarer AMA - 2025, as there are quite a good amount. I just finished going through them all and voting for the ones I’d like to have answered.
Revenue share for stops entered into the game?
Have you tried the profile → Preferences → Interface → Colour palette?
Thanks but the question was more as a guest user - i.e. not logged in. Should have expanded on that as useful in browse mode in a lot of different situations.

No worries, that’s fair and understandable.

Well, you could say we know who does all the work around here. ![]()

That’s fine, there’s always next time (2027? or now regular events again?). Had about 50 more - the abuse ones in particular were interesting to ask from some of the community.
Thanks for your help anyway. Actually, do I put those unasked questions into general discussion or new AMA category after this one is over?
And I assume those unanswered questions (least votes) will also carry over.
Not a techie person ![]()
But I seem to have dark mode enabled to use in most things.
If not logged in it will whatever your normal browser settings are I think.
Yep, modern day web standards. It picks up on your OS settings which is why Discourse was such an odd choice after Vanilla, the UI is bad.
ooh got it, then the question is “should they force dark mode to let those of us who prefer daylight mode suffer”))
Idk the answer, personally prefer the current default mode.
Nothing has been said about the long term fate of what might happen to the questions that don’t get enough votes. In the past the nothing has happened to them.
I’ll dip out on this as it’s beyond my tech knowledge. And I have been pleased with the choice of dark mode.
If done right, it caters for everyone - picks up on your OS preferences by default. So you see daylight (light theme) and I see dark mode - both without logging on. Makes sense?
Just thinking ahead - as well as of the past - wouldn’t want to lose a question someone has contributed. Carrying it over to the next AMA would be a good idea.
Assuming the question is still relevant, there is another AMA (2 years since the last one) or Wayfarer is actually still a thing.
You’re welcome ![]()
You can always start a new topic in General Discussion or if it fits better Review Support or Nomination Support.
But please don’t release your 50+ remaining questions all at ones ![]()
IMO saving questions for a next AMA wouldn’t make so much sense because here’s much ongoing right now. That would be a big work load in x time to scan them.
First, I believe that Pokémon GO’s AR scans are related to Wayfarer. Next, I presented a screenshot from the official website stating that data from Pokémon GO’s AR scans is sent to Niantic Spatial. If it were possible to ask two questions simultaneously, I would have liked to add the following to the beginning of the title: “Are Pokémon GO’s AR scans related to Wayfarer? If so, …” The purpose of this question was to potentially increase motivation for Wayfinders and contribute to increasing Wayspot scan data through responses from Niantic Scopely or Niantic Spatial. Additionally, as there were few thought-provoking questions, this was also a bit of playful curiosity on my part.
You’re welcome
Voting for you at this year’s Ambie Awards (think the Dundies) - Best Ambassador Matching Username ![]()

You are so going to regret that. ![]()

That would be messy to manage the threads. I wouldn’t do that to you - not a pleasant experience I can tell you.
Only did it here because of recent restrictions.

Most I’ve answered but still need to remove some from previous AMAs. And need to revisit the list to remove duplicates from this AMA as well.

There are a lot of questions on the AMA list from a number of people. There are aspects of them that would make good points for discussion amongst wayfinders. So after the AMA closes I think using them as inspiration would be good ……. And one at a time would give each a better chance to be in the spotlight. ![]()
