Hi @ImAgInArIuS
I’ve moved your topic to Nomination Support because the category Wayspot Appeals is for appealing rejected removal requests or to ask for reinstating removed wayspots.
Why is that word important for the nomination?
And, please don’t take it bad, when I look at your user name someone might take it as an attempt to influence reviewers.
That text string is just the rejection reason that show when abuse is flagged. It could be what @AliceWonder1511 suggested, that reviewers thought you were trying to identify yourself to influence voters. It could be that they thought that you had mispinned the location, or that the photo was third party. It could be that they thought this was a fake nomination as far as calling it art when it could just be considered a lighting fixture.
I have seen this on street view from the last time you posted about this nomination, so I do know it can be seen there. You still don’t offer any proof that this is art by an artist.
If you have submitted it a couple of times now, you may want to appeal if there isn’t actually anything abusive about the nomination. Give them proof that this is the art piece you say it is if you do appeal. You get 2 appeals, each on a 15 day counter before you can use them again. If you are not seeing the button to appeal, you may not have one available.
I been using the title, “imagine: something” as a way to encourage the people that vote to use his imagination since is a work of art… and you should use your mind to see it in perspective…
and there is no way someone “recognize” that I´m the one submitting the pokestop… and if someone recognize me for sure they vote against me since im the one that nobody knows…
It actually appears to have been misplaced. It seems to have been placed around -31.413184179805548, -64.16056054046805, but I’m finding it around -31.413268563671327, -64.16089791048242, which is across the street from where the pin was placed. I’m thinking this may have caused the flagging for abuse, as it’s off by about 30m.
Now, reviewers can move pins while reviewing, so just wondering if the rejection email said that this was rejected by “our team” or “the community.” From your email, it says “our team,” so it may be that it was rejected by ML, the AI system, or staff, as they weren’t able to find it at the pin you placed it at.
I don’t see an issue with the title, btw, but rather the location pin. You will want to resubmit and make sure to place the pin correctly this time. Being off by a few meters is ok, but being off by 10 or more can be an issue and possibly seen as trying to manipulate the map, which is considered abuse.
Say, can we move on from the title? That’s most likely not the issue here, from what I have found; it’s the location being off by about 30m. Just because their using name is similar to Imaginate doesn’t necessarily mean that’s why it was rejected, as it’s not a direct use of their user name.
Yes, but when I looked at this, I came to the conclusion that it’s the location pin being misplaced that’s the issue. The OP isn’t giving any concreate proof that Imaginate is at issue here, but I found something that is of issue elsewhere. If Imaginate was of issue, I think staff may have let them know this, or they wouldn’t have even been able to submit until changing the word to something that is acceptable. We are aware of banned words when submitting, but they were able to submit with Imaginate.
Just naming this “Infinity” would be fine and would get others to imagine this as being the infinity symbol, if there is no official title for this art piece. If the official title is “Imaginate An Infinity,” then that’s what should be used.
Then this is the title that you will want to use. This rejection was most likely due to this being seen as indistinct and generic, and not for abuse.
I don’t see an issue with using any words similar to imagine in the title or description, as your user name isn’t exactly imagine. If it was, I could see it as an issue, but in this case, the location pin is misplaced.
If you resubmit, use the official title, and make sure that you are placing the pin correctly. If it gets rejected again with the correct ittle and location, you may need to consider appealing.
A nomination can have multiple things wrong with it, IMO using the same title that closely resembles their IGN and they admitted to doing over various nominations is a bigger problem than 1 misplaced nomination.
They have also said, as well as shown, that they used the official title. Per clarification, use of official title is preferred for art.
The submission with the official title was made on Nov 5th and rejected for not being culturally/historically significant. They submitted with an unofficial title on Nov 11th and that was rejected for abuse, and tgat one does have an issue with the location. If the official title submission had an issue with the title having vague similarities to their user name, don’t you think it would’ve been rejected as abuse then?
We can’t predict what different reviewers thought processes so we need to keep all options open when suggesting advice. An official title similar to their IGN is different than a pattern the OP admitted to with several nominations.
