I submitted about 20 wayspots in a day and I believe due to the weather and colour of the area most got denied. Some that made it past the bot such as a trailmarker got denied for being not permanent and not being public when it is on a public beach. All the bunkers I submitted were denied by the bot as I think it was too gray. The grill sites I submitted were also denied by the bot. That means I have a lot of submissions to appeal.
I don’t understand if I have something that should have been accepted by the criteria yet does not why the appeal doesn’t get returned?
An extra I want answered: What does the error “record” mean? I was editing a submission, when I pressed done I got the error and when I refreshed it had been denied.
That has been asked for a lot of time, but no change yet.
With that many submissions being rejected, I would not be thinking of appealing all of them. I would be looking at my submissions to see what I was doing wrong and then resubmitting the eligible ones with better photos/text etc.
It was already in the review process when you were trying to edit it, or went into it while you were typing. I always put mine on “Hold” until I have it just like I want it so that this can’t happen.
2/5 footbridges were accepted 1 is pending 2 were bots
1/2 trail markers
2 Viking remnants 1 appealed took about four days though for the appeal to be accepted
1 stepping stair into a field
2/3 bunkers denied, both by not one I was editing. 1 is in voting
1 pier? (brygga) denied
1 slide denied by not
1 bench in a nature reserve looking out over the sea denied the other I withdrew by accident.
1/2 picnic/grill areas made it through
1 lifeguard/coastguard house denied
1 billboard in queue
1map/billboard in queue
2 biking trails made it through
1 bakery in queue.

This is a historic bunker from the world war era. It is nice to look at and worth exploring for.
Trailmarker:
Denied for being not permanent or distinct enough
Denied for being inaccessible (unsafe? Or private), it is on a public beach.
I don’t really bother writing too much on these as there are many that I’ve submitted

This is a trailmarker, good for walking talking and exploring.
I will not be here in at least two months which is why I am annoyed about the appeals.
I understand the bunker being rejected by the automated process. I have never come across one of these and would not have known what it is, either. I understand that requiring an appeal.
The “trail marker” you show is a very simple directional arrow which may take quite a few words and supporting links in order to convince reviewers that it is actually marking a trail. So that probably explains the “not distinct” rejection reason. You did not supply the location, so I can’t comment on the safely accessible rejection
I cannot comment on the historical points of interest. To jump through the rest of the list, there is no clarification on the eligibility of footbridges, so those will be case by case. I don’t see how most staircases would be great places for exercise, exploration, or being social. A slide would not be eligible separately if the playground is already a Wayspot, or if the location is a K-12 facility. Viewpoint benches are difficult. A lifeguard house would obstruct emergency services. I am not sure what you are calling a billboard. A bakery is going to be a difficult nomination with “Generic business” as a rejection reason.
I think you have attempted some harder nominations here, especially if you don’t like to use a lot of words, because some of them take a lot of explaining. I will link this topic you can check out to see if it helps: Top Mistakes Made When Nominating, and How to Avoid Them
It is not a staircase but one of those steps over fences, I don’t know if you are English but in Surrey when I lived there you had to go through them to enter some fields. They are called Ladder Stiles apparently in English.
The lifeguard house is far in lands so it is more of an observation station as it has a radio tower as well, so I would like to claim it would not obstruct.
The Viking ruins there is a government map I link to, I add the researchers description of the object in question.
Then I have a final question that is not related to the main subject if you wouldn’t mind answering.
Do the English red telephone booths get accepted. If they are could an equivalently old, ~100 years old, infrastructure object in Sweden be accepted?
What’s different with this than any other Bakery. It can only be going for “Social” and if it’s the sort of place that you get a sandwich and a bun then leave it fails that. This is just IMO but I do see many get on the map.
I wouldn’t class a Style as Eligible on it’s own. Are there any Trail Markers? Otherwise it’s just a way to get over a wall / fence.
Strangley, the Red Post Boxes usually fail but if they have been turned in to Little Free Libraries, Notice Boards or Information Kiosks they usually get through.
