Informational Plaques Removed as Wayspots due to location on golf course

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

• Wayspot Title: Tour 18 #4

• Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): wayspot had been accepted in 2023, and was recently removed, along with all of the other associated wayspots (Tour 18 #2, #5, #7, #10…)
• Additional Information (if any): This is an appeal for a set of wayspots recently removed. I have included screenshots of my nomination for ‘Tour 18 #4’. I am making an assumption they were all removed due to a mistake that they were nominations for basic golf course holes. I fully understand that, in general, individual holes on a golf course are not eligible, but that there may be other eligible nominations within the golf course. I made these submissions with that in mind. Each wayspot was (until removal) located at the large bronze plaque that marked the beginning of each hole - therefore, not a safety hazard by being at the cup itself.
• However, the primary reason I made these nominations is because this particular golf course is unique. Each hole has been constructed as a replication of a famous golf course elsewhere in the world. The wayspots I submitted focused on the historical context, not the sport itself, because the nomination is for the plaques. Each plaque provides information about the original golf course the replica is based upon, as well as information about famous golfers and their history-making games on that particular course. I maintain that these wayspots are a valuable inclusion as these plaques are both educational and promote exploration. With a couple more years of wayfaring behind me now, I think that a different name for the submissions may have helped, but I did not want the titles to become too lengthy.
• I originally intended to complete this wayfarer project with every plaque, but I had difficulty with reviewers rejecting some nominations due to it being a golf course, which I understand. However, if the wayspots are restored, I would be happy to take the time to return to this area and finish the project.

I understand that your nominations are different than the standard “Tee” locations but I would still find it difficult not to reject under the “1 per course” criteria.

This is just my opinion and as you say the title does make it sound like a standard tee. Maybe naming it as the replication location (I assume that is “Crooked Stick #15”) could get it through but I still think it a difficult shout.

Wayfarers often accept these because they want more pokestops. Scopely Explore frequently remove them once reported because the “one wayspot to represent the entire course” rule is fairly easy to understand.

They have been removed because they were reported as duplicates and Scopely Explore agreed with this. I do not recommend resubmitting them, as it can be seen as abuse to resubmit something that was specifically removed. Changing the title doesn’t change what the POI is.
