Ingress - Game Reality

I’ve edited the location of this portal a few times now. It’s constantly denied. The portal is “Family Of Faith Lutheran Church” at location “41.485294, -74.39107”. It’s on private property and the edit location feature only allows you to move a portal a certain distance. It’s actually there. It’s just in the wrong location.

You would need to use th Wayfarer Help Chat by tapping on the orange bubble at the bottom right corner of the help page tab in Wayfarer for edits greater than the game allows.

I can see why this has been an issue, as the sign is the place marker in the photo for the church, not the church itself. The sign is also on the corner of Midland Lake Rd and Rossi Ln, while the church is at the end of Rossi Ln. I’ve circled the sign in green, and the church in red below.

Are there any photos here of the church itself, or just the sign? If it’s the sign only, help chat may move the location to the sign, not the church. If that happens, you may want to submit a title edit for the sign, and submit a nomination for the church itself, using photos of the church.

I also have to wonder about how safe it is to access the sign, since there isn’t a sidewalk in this area. If you feel the sign is unsafe for pedestrians and the Wayspot doesn’t have any photos of the church, I’d recommend uploading one, then requesting help chat remove the sign photo first, then request the location edit in help chat.

Just a few things to think of with this one.

Unfortunately the sign is the only photo of the portal. You’re right. If they move it, it should/would be where the portal photo is located. I’m not sure why Rossi Ln has a name. I thought it was just the “driveway” up to the church until you pointed it out. Nonetheless I’d say it’s pedestrian accessible due to the fact that it’s connected to the parking lot. Personally, I think an edit to the green circle would be just fine.

I didn’t even know about that. Thank you!

Location edits over 10 m can be done via help chat, and this is over 10 m. It may also be that since the Wayspot has the sign as the photo it keeps getting rejected, so having staff take a look might be better.

Yup I found it and submitted a ticket. You guys were a lot of help. Thank you.
