Without a good supporting photo showing the sculture and surrounding area you won’t be successful.
Try GPSmapcamera
It’s a free app that prints the location on the photo.
So it can work for the supporting photo.
Here is an example
You can see the trailmarker on the post, the app has put the location details on the photo to show where it is as there is no street view.
Without that combination in the supplementary reviewers will just reject something that is effectively not helping to prove a location.
I so want these to succeed
When I was doing this way they was straight rejected so I tried this way to see what is going to be accepted which way:joy: instead of appealing all the time trying different ways:joy: later will try with another one again with different pictures m. It’s always good to try
Well the main picture was great on that ant, and it clearly got past Emily.
But if it gets past Emily and then stops with reviewers it’s not going to work.
Yeah keep trying in different ways tbh
Because if it’s not picture, it’s lack of uniqueness, if not that it’s something different
but I re done it at home to see if it will pass this time

So do I. It was nice to see one in review but disappointing I had to reject.
I don’t think the ML system will reject because of the supporting photograph. It wouldn’t make sense to do this.
You did what people have been recommending - got a wonderful close-up photo of the sculpture. For supporting, something like the one you posted above for the bug on a lamppost is perfect. The ML rejected that one basically because the main photo was from too far away.

Please don’t get too stressed by the nominating and the rejections. Just do the best submissions possible. Getting past ML is one thing, but don’t let that mean the submission itself is sub-par.
- good quality close-up photo (like the Ant Sculpture)
- supporting photo showing the sculpture on its lamppost for matching to streetview (like the bug on a lamppost)
- good title (e.g., if you can find a way to cleanly expand on “Ant Sculpture”)
Spotted in review but how did I vote
After the noms we are having to sift through whilst eMiLy is taking a break this was a breath of fresh air.

I had that one (I think) and spotted a couple nearby that were already approved. The one I reviewed had a good photo, good supporting photo and even appeared on streetview,

Not accepted anyway
doesn’t matter what I will do I always need to appeal, even sometimes after appealing I am not getting approved at all

honeslty every each time something else after appealing just to not accepted
if it’s not path, it’s too dark if it’s not that it’s not unique

Sorry to be that person, but the first one you show appears to have some sort of vignette filter (dark corners) applied. Not sure if this is intentional, but that may well have been the reason you got the appeal rejection, since visibly edited/processed photos are called out as not eligible in the criteria. I understand this can be a good faith esthetic choice but would recommend moving away from filters.

Not really. My phone when I am editing picture to make it square ( as main photo my phone literally doing it self) plus some of them been accepted like that anyway. trust me it’s literally ridiculous as another stop/appeal been not approved
I am literally giving up with that one as every each time it’s stupid reason like that just not to be approved. It’s very discouraging:/ someone trying to do things and everything is not accepted every each appeal now
it’s annoying and I start feeling like I am just wasting my time for it. 2 weeks for 2 appeals what is not even accepted anyway. I really stop seeing point to even try
And just to add it before question. Probably it’s setting at iPhone and I don’t know how to switch it off
Don’t give up on any…
Although I have only had 1 of these to Review I have enjoyed seeing the others in the thread.
Unfortunately, even though you have had suggestions from some of the best in the Wayfarer World they can only be suggestions, nobody can state “Do this and reviewers will accept”. It’s great that you have taken some advice and tried it, it’s demoralising when it doesn’t work but you have come so far, you need to see it to completion.
To save me re-reading the entire post, are they being Accepted once you get to appeal them. If not is it possible that a member of staff can confirm if the advice that has been given is missing something?
My only suggestion is to buy an Android
