This one is particularly sad for me. I nominated it on 2024-08-29, rejected, appealed on 2024-10-01, and accepted the next day.
It was originally rejected because of “not permanent” but I argued that, even though Robot is on treads, he’s no harder to move than any large statue.
Imagine my surprise when I revisited a couple of days ago and he was gone! (At least his older cousin, Robby the Robot, still has a job nearby as a ticket taker).
Images follow. First, Robot as I originally submitted him. Followed by two photos showing him gone/construction underway (my original description mentioned he was watching over the old Cafe Go, but it is now Cafe Gone being replaced by bicycle storage). As a bonus, I’ll include Robby hard at work.
