Is it eligable?

Hello, I need some advice and help to understand the reasoning and see if it is eligable/should I appeal or not.

For atleast 4-5 years there has been like a “road” block stone with interesting holes in it. The sign on it means roughly translated: “beware of the stone/roadblock” and it is aimed at pedestrians or if you are using a bike - a good road to walk on or bike on (not for cars).

I’ve tried to google the stone but can’t really find anything about it.

I think it looks cool, and it fills a purpose of making everybody notice the road block and it is interesting to look yadayada, but is it worth appealing with this extra information (it was automatically rejected).

Ofc course  The area is a area with not many places to make wayspots. So just curious and looking for any nook and crany to find maybe a something eligable at all, but I can accept if there isn’t any - I’m all set, but love to make stops

Hortensiagatan – Google Maps

It’s hard to tell if it’s a sculpture or a block designed to test drill bits. If it is a sculpture it might be findable on Google Lens but the warning strip is problematic. Does it have the same strip on the other side?

It does yes: 14 Gardeniagatan – Google Maps

they are already made by me  thx.

Yeah, that just looks like a lump of concrete someone found to stop people driving around the barrier.

But put it in art gallery and it would be worth a fortune..

agree this appears to just be a traffic bollard, and simply infrastructure

is hard to make suggestions for you without having an up-to-date map of existing wayspots. it sounds like you know what you are doing from what you have submitted. we can usually help more when someone has no idea what to submit.

we would love to help if you have other ideas for things you would like to submit but aren’t sure about.

I would paint it yellowish orange and call it the cheese block. Lol

Thanks, yea sometimes I find the reasoning for “a good place to explore” a bit confusing and sometimes I don’t agree with the reasoning behind it. But Ill adapt and try to make better nominations. Even though it is frustrating sometimes when you get rejected, you come back and try to make sense of it.

I see this adress is located in Örebro, and at Epiroc we can see even more of those drilled blocks.
Epiroc is a global manufacturing company of mining equpiments - and of course the tools used in that type of industries - the drills.

I don’t know how common those blocks are around the municipality - but this certain case, even though it acts only as a street infrastructure, a traffic bollard, it is for sure part of this areas most important manufacturing company with their impact and history.

A comparison would be the traffic barriers/bollards in Stockholm - especially at Drottninggatan - those Lions are for sure really common there but unique for Stockholm, and many of those serves as wayspots today.

You need to proven your stone blocks eligibility

Splendid! I completly forgot about Epiroc. I have someone Who I know, who works there I can ask him if he knows anything about it
