Neighborhood signs eligible?

Are neighborhood signs eligible as wayspots? I’ve seen one around my area and I am wondering if my neighborhood could become one too I’ve read a few websites saying they aren’t eligible is this true?

You can make the case for a neighbourhood sign if it’s artistic enough or is an interesting landmark with safe pedestrian access.

A generic plain sign wouldn’t be eligible.

Ok thank you for taking the time to reply to this topic I tried to upload a picture but it was going through as a link I could add a picture of it to this if you could teach me how I’m new to wayfarer

I do not think they usually meet any of these criteria:

Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others

I will reject these every time unless particularly historic or artistic. However, they are not “INeligible” unless the location is - like on SFPRP, etc.

Sometimes they will be accepted by reviewers who do not understand criteria, and just see a big, permanent sign. So they might slip through voting. And then they are impossible to get removed:

Ok thank you I tried this but it went through as a link that’s ok though it’s not that important

Hmm. Welcome to the forum, and I hope you figure out the photo issue if you want advice in the future. It is helpful to see a photo of what you are asking about!

It could be that his(?) trustlevel is not high enough to attache files

Oh and welcome @GuhLayTon :hugs:
