"Javor Červený" Lokalita-Česká Republika. Okres Tachov město STŘÍBRO.Západní Čechy

Proč není S2 součástí Pokémon go.

Not all Wayspots appear in all of the games, and this is due to each game’s density/inclusion rule. Like noted, PoGo uses S2 cells to determine which Wayspots becoming stops/gyms, while Ingress uses a 20 m rule.

Also as noted, “Javor Červený” is in the same L17 S2 cell as “GLEDITSIA TRIACANTHOS," which is just to the northeast of “Javor Červený” in the screenshot from the Ingress Intel map I posted; you can see the outline of the L17 S2 cell in this screenshot. Because “GLEDITSIA TRIACANTHOS" already exists in this cell, it’s the only Wayspot that will show up in PoGo in this L17 S2 cell.

I provided the link that explains how S2 cells work in PoGo, and it’s highly recommended to read up on that. I can also say that the other L17 S2 cells around this one already have Wayspots, so even if Javor Červený was moved west into th next S2 cell, it still won’t show up in PoGo.

Unfortunatley, we don’t always get our approved Wayspots in-game, but they are added to the database map, and Javor Červený will appear in Ingress as a portal, so it’s in another game. I’ve had many Wayspots that don’t show up in PoGo, but do in Ingress, while I’ve had others approved that don’t show up in any game, but could be used by developers that do use the map.

Essentially, we’re building a map of real-life POIs with Wayfarer, and there’s never a guarantee that any of our approved Wayspots will be added to the games.

S2 cells aren’t on the nomination map, as this could cause some to manipulate the game board, which is against the Terms of Service and considered abuse; we all agree to the ToS, so it’s not up to us to determine game play locations.

Also, S2 cells aren’t used by all of the games, so they don’t matter when nominating in Ingress, but the Ingress map doesn’t show distances, so you don’t know if your nomination is within 20 m of another existing Wayspot.

A bydlíte skoro v pralese takže tam nejsou skoro žádné cesty minimálně Google maps a podobně. ZABÍRÁ TO STRAŠNĚ ČASU VYTVOŘIT NĚJAKÝ VOICE SPOT

Keep in mind that we don’t always get what we want, and that includes with Wayfarer and the games. Do I wish some of my Wayspots that aren’t in PoGo were in the game? Sure, but I know the density/inclusion rules, and I do know that some of them are in Ingress or get used as Power Spots from time to time.

The staff of Wayfarer or the games are not required to provide the S2 cells on the nomination map, and you agree to this in the ToS as well. You agree that there are certain things that are kept internal and staff is not required to disclose to players. Really, it’s the players that figured out the S2 cell system after doing their own research; staff has never officially confirmed the use of S2 cells and they are not required to per the ToS.

Also, I live in a city, with many Wayspots, but my hometown is rural. There are many rural towns around me that I have also nominated and added Wayspots to, and I make sure to follow the guidelines and be as accurate as possible.
