Will the 40 edit maximum be lifted for the challenge?
Especially the text one - we can only get 40 titles AND description edits. That’s only 20 Wayspots needing fixing.
We then get +2 each day.
Okay so Im not going mad that if you use 40 in 1 day, you cant then use 40 the next day?
At least in Ingress, it seems the daily refresh was indeed raised to 40 for text edits, so assuming its the same for Pogo and the other edits, you should get a full refresh each day.

Yes! I keep a list of text needing editing.
With the current limits, the top individual tier is not possible with only text (title + description) edits.
40 (use NOW, Oct 30) + 28 (2 per day for 14 days, Oct 31-Nov13) = 70 text edits you can do for this event.
That’s not even half.
If you do another 70 photo adds (much harder to set up than text fixes!), you’re still not there.
To do this challenge, you will have to do AT LEAST 10 location edits.
More likely, 70 text edits, then split the difference and do 40 pictures and 40 locations.
Personally I don’t find that many locations needing changing.

I dunno what will be tomorrow, but today i have this message:
Tells me i get 1 more photo nom tomorrow, while i’m pretty sure i didn’t even use everything for today. I submitted 17 i think, the remainder just poof’d.

Same here. I’ve submitted 8, and now can’t submitted anymore. I had started with 40 wgen I went out.
I submitted 1 photo, and after that got a message that I used up all my photo edits in PoGo, and would get 1 back tomorrow.

I’m another person who started the day with 40 edits and then got cut off early. I submitted 24, according to Wayfarer Contributions page, mostly descriptions and a couple of titles. Now I’m being told I’ll get 2 more tomorrow. Ingress player.

I was able to submit 2 location edits, which I know I won’t find many of, so got to 10 today.
Yes! This post is about how you will only get 68 text edits during this challenge. (Title and Description count off the same 40 allocations.) Even though SO MANY Wayspots have inaccuracies, spelling errors, or no description on something interesting.
If you want to earn the highest level of 150, you will need at least 82 combined, of pictures and location changes. Even though not many need location changes, and taking pictures is very time intensive - and many wayspots don’t need new pictures.

If they don’t rectify the issue that cropped up today it likely won’t be obtainable if you only have a pogo or ingress account eligible for wayfarer and not both. Up to 120 potential edits wiped out for ingress if you did not use all of them between 12pm PDT and around 3pm PDT as they reset the limit at 0:00UTC last night. I was only able to 31 edits in before system reset.
Running a challenge based around edits but limiting the number that people can do is the height of foolishness, that’s like a reviewing challenge where people are only allowed to review 5 a day after the first day, completely counterproductive, frustrating and only encourages poor edits over quality ones.
Are these things not discussed or run by people who actually play the games and possess some logic before being rolled out, did the ambassadors have no input? Actually, given previous form, I think the answers here are likely the same disappointing ones as always.
So few edits returned a day is simply not enough, this should have been obvious in the early planning stages of the challenge. Not everyone is in a POI dense area or has enough spots around them that can be improved. This just encourages pointless edits that add nothing and likely a wave of warnings shortly after the event.

I got this same message and was hopeful but then only recieved 2 extra edits today so am now intensely disppointed.

I got mine reset to 40 again. It’s not even the next day yet? I’m not sure how it happened. At one point, I deleted my cache and settings, just short of a reinstall and I had it reset to 40. Not sure of there being a correlation, though.
Fantastic, I seem to have had mine reset now too, hoping this is a daily thing so we actually have a decent chance to complete the challenge. Fingers crossed!
