Previously, to log in was clicking 1 log in button, and then wayfarer would load
Now, you click, then wait for the 2nd login page to load, then click, then wait for the 3rd login page to load, then … you get the idea? Its soooo slow and tedious.
Oh, and if you are too quick and tap a button on one of the pages that loads twice, back to the beginning trainer! Do it all again!! Endless loop enabled.
And then, even worse, I know Im going to have to do it all again if I wanna swap tab, swap apps, etc. Its just really offputting now. Niantic have put a barrier of annoyance in my way of reviewing, and all the good reviews go to ML now anyway, so my rating is back in the trash, so really I question my sanity to keep going
I just dont understand why the clicking is such a big deal… for a website about clicking… the frequent log outs on the other hand… yeah those are annoying.
Its the 4 clicks combined with the frequent log outs which force you to do the clicking and waiting again, and again, and again. And the pages load very slowly.
If I wanted to post a nomination for advice, I meed to swap tabs/apps depending if I share here or on discord, it is going to frequently log me out while doing that
And the really annoying part is that it didnt used to be like this. The new “upgraded” log in experience has made it worse.
While it is a somewhat minor issue that Niantic ‘improved’ the login procedure to require multiple screens with built-in delays and senseless required clicks, the complaint is the fact that they keep getting logged out, so they can no longer share or collaborate comfortably.
Everything gets broken up by the constant need to log back in. This ease-of-use stuff has been well understood for decades, but the designers forgot to test for it.
Sorry about that. Somehow it just seemed that people’s complaints were being marginalized, over and over again, by others who weren’t experiencing the same problem.
This is sort of a pet peeve of mine. It’s perfectly valid to create a poll to find out how many are/aren’t effected, but not to keep replying that since one doesn’t see the problem it isn’t real. It really does make a difference for those who experience it.
I had a choice between you and an Explorer who seemed to be having a bad day already, So I replied to you…
