Is this on the balcony of someone’s apartment? And is it something like a store mannequin that someone took and dressed?

Is this being rejected for “Wayfarer criteria”? Does the email say “our team”?

This appears to be located on the personal property of the tenant of that space, not in a common area for the apartment residents which is what has been clarified to be eligible:

Plus, it looks temporary. Just saying it has been there a while, doesn’t make it a permanent installation.

Hi!

It’s indeed on a balcony of an apartment complex. It’s a store mannequin the person dressed and sometimes change depending on the period so around Christmas it gets Christmas clothing

The rejection reason and “our team” email indicate this is being rejected by the ML (machine learning ai) model. That can be useful to know for future submissions.

Good to know! I did not know that. I thought the nominations were accepted or declined by other wayfares only. So if the ML declines it it’s per definition that it’s not a good nomination then since it programmed to go through all rules right?

Hmm. Well ML is machine learning so it can be wrong sometimes. In that case, you can either try again with a new photo that makes it clearer what you are submitting, or you can use one of your two appeals to have human reviewers reevaluate the nomination. There is a cooldown of 20 days before you can use the appeals again, so it is always a good idea to check here for advice before appealing. I think ML got it right in this case. And I also believe you were nominating in good faith, so keep an eye out for something else interesting!
