Antichi blocchi in opera quadrata realizzati in peperino, tipica pietra vulcanica locale. Questi resti archeologici testimoniano l’antica ingegneria romana nell’area dei Castelli Romani, situati strategicamente tra la Via Appia Antica (Regina Viarum) e Via Romana. Si tratta probabilmente di strutture di sostegno (sostruzioni) o basamenti di una villa suburbana di epoca imperiale.
Questo sito possiede un alto valore storico e archeologico per la comunità locale. I blocchi sono chiaramente di epoca romana e rappresentano un frammento visibile del patrimonio culturale dei Castelli Romani. From the map it can be seen that they are located in the vicinity of the Via Appia Antica. The road is very well known and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other artifacts have been officially marked because they are located within the territory of the municipality of Ariccia, whereas the municipality of Genzano has left them in a state of neglect. Nevertheless, this does not change the fact that they are Roman remains.
This is not helping. You can take foto of any rock with overgrown grass along the road and said exactly the same thing. We need proof of the exact location of wayspot. It will significantly increase your chance of acceptance
la via appia antica è una strada storica che è piena di monumenti. Questo è un tratto non gestito dal comune di roma e pertanto non è valorizzato. Ma quelle stesse rocce a pochi km di distanza (anche solo 1 verso ariccia) sono pokestop perché a tutti gli effetti dei reperti archeologici.
I am giving you perspective of someone who have no idea about that road. The appian way stretch so far , the map in wiki is not detail enough to show that this particular rock is remnant of old road. Even if its is, i assume there are many other remnant with better condition which is marked and preserved. I am still sceptical since google map photo is only 6months old.
Geograhical map is not proof. With that logic, you can literally pick any random rock in the area with overgrown grass and said its remnant of old civilization.
