Hey guys,
I really enjoy using wayfarer but I haven’t been able to recently as I’ve been having issues with my Pokemon go account.
I have received confirmation from the support guys the the strikes placed on my account erroneously have been removed, but honestly I don’t trust them and so I was hoping you could check to see that they have been removed? I just know Niantic is notorious for having issues with randomly banning players in error and I am terrified of having my account permanently banned.
Any help is very appreciated

I see that the issues you have been facing are related to violations in Pokémon GO. They don’t have anything to do with Wayfarer.
That’s not what support has communicated to you. They have just confirmed that you do not have any restrictions on your account currently.

As long as you do not violate any policies going forward, there is nothing to worry.

I’m not an authority on Pokémon GO but I’m pretty sure that “currently” is the keyword there. Having said that, I’ll share it with their team to make it clearer for you.
Yea some clarity would be great. Obviously once you get a ban, your account is left with a strike. My account has had 2 strikes, and I’ve been in contact with support for a few months trying to get them removed. I believed that that them saying I now have no strikes was them saying they’ve been removed, especially as they said “we glad this has now been resolved” making me think the situation has been altered and now is considered sorted. I just knew you had access to account details so just wanted you to confirm how many strikes have been left on my account
I have shared it with the team and they would follow-up.
Players are notorious for deliberately abusing Pokemon Go or Wayfarer, getting suspensions and then complaining about this on forums saying they did nothing wrong and Niantic are bad people.
You should have received a clarification now.

The clarification was unfortunately not helpful at all but thank you for asking them to follow up. It’s absolutely insane to me that the only way I can get any kind of clear communication is by coming on here and asking you

Unfortunately it’s nothing to do with wayfarer, I’d much prefer it to be as the support team over here are absolutely lovely.
Hopefully the support team has told you what caused the strikes in the first place. The best advise is to follow the ToS and then no one has any worries. Actions have consequences. If you think something may violate the ToS, ask someone you trust before you act.
My account was banned after a malicious third party gained access to my account by talking to Niantic support, and they then attempted to blackmail me and got strikes on my account. I absolutely abide by the tos and player guidelines but unfortunately the entire support system has been gutted since the scopely purchase so no matter the situation there is no way to get in contact with anyone.
I have seen a lot people complaining they got caught after doing abuse but still feel they dont do anything wrong.
I’ve also seen a lot of people getting banned despite being completely legitimate. regardless, all issues would be solved if they actually had a support team for Pokemon go and not just automated slop
That’s TERRIBLE! We’ve had people report that to have happened before. Even to a prominent PoGo creator. Many folks come to the forum and reddit (eek) with a version of the events that are 100% accurate and upon further review it is deemed not to be the complete story.
So my counsel is always to follow the ToS. No specific judgement to you, but a blanket statement to everyone. Follow the guidelines so you don’t have to worry about anything.
They arent telling whole story. As long you follow TOS, there is nothing to worry
This is why I always say “Wayfarer is the best team at Niantic/Scopely”. Alot of us wish PoGo would have a consumer facing, attentive support team like Wayfarer.
