How can this be rectified? Anybody has similar experience?
welcome to the forum. you should have received several emails explaining the infraction. at least one should have had the link to appeal, if you believe it was in error.

But my Wayfarer account is linked to my apple ID. There is no linked email address to it. I did not get any warning etc. just automatic hammer ban for 30 days
Your Apple ID would have been linked to an Email Address. Whatever Email address is associated with your Apple ID would be the best place to start. Also check your Junk Folder in case the warning e-mail is located there.

Thank you! I checked my spam box and didn’t see any warnings. But I did see all the wayspot submission updates. Thanks again! I think I can raise an appeal with this.

Staff will be able to advise further but this is intended as part of the 30 day ban.
Be suspended from all our games and from Wayfarer for a duration of 30 days
I think this is the 3rd time this week we had someone say they haven’t received an email. Maybe someone from the staff can check?

Some may not know this, but Apple ID has an option to hide your real email address from those you use it with to sign in, and provide a relay email address. More info about this can be found here:
It’s highly recommended to have more than one account linked to your Niantic ID. I’m an Android user, so I have both Google and Facebook linked.
Hopefully a staff member will send you a DM with additional info.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the others only use Apple ID as well and did select to hide their email addresses and didn’t complete the relay process. I remember this being an issue with those using Apple ID only, hiding their email address, and not receiving their edit challenge rewards because they didn’t complete the relay process.

I lack the knowledge regarding linking an Apple ID to a random email address, so great it has been pointed out here.
Your Wayfarer account HAS to be connected to a Niantic game (and you need to be high enough level in at least one game).
How do you know your ban was because of Wayfarer activity, VS because of game activity?
Niantic is notoriously bad with email address changes. Since you built your PokemonGo account, have you changed your email address on it? We usually hear of this bug at Wayfarer challenges - anyone who currently has an email address other than their very first original setup - won’t get the rewards passcode email, and Niantic has to DM it to them.
I didn’t get any 7-day ban or warning which is the standard for Pokemon Go. The warning screen is also different from the standard one issued by Pokemon Go for erring players.
Bought some poke coins from Webstore, waited for a local raid egg to hatch, then boom ~ got logged out and the white screen warning with 30-day suspension appeared out of nowhere.
I posted this issue together with the warning screenshot in Reddit and some folks pointed me here.
It has to do with all those coins you bought from the Web Store. Well Dodgy.

I know others have addressed aspects of the (missing) communication, but nothing has been considered with respect to Wayfarere yet. Do you often nominate and/or review wayspots? If it is not related to your activity inPokemon Go, it may be related to a Wayfarer activity.
Recently we have seen an uptick on folks moving wayspots being flagged for abuse. But it could also come from issues in reviewing. Since it is a 30 day ban, I would think it would be something we can help you identify if it is Wayfarer related.
I had thought since you knew it was a ban from Wayfarer that you had received one email, but not the others. Did you get any email?
I do actively review locations that are familiar to me and skip those that aren’t. I only suggested 1 relocation and it was for a church. I checked google maps and there is literally a cross already indicating where the church is but the player who nominated it placed the pin on a house across the church so I moved the pin.
The only othere thing I can think of is my nomination for a cafe. The rejection criteria I saw was “abuse” but no information provided why nominating a cafe is abusive, so I made an appeal. The appeal got disapproved.
I live in the rural area so it’s really necessary for me to nominate Poke Stops to make the game more playable, without cheating (e.g. through spoofing).

Now that you are locked out it’s difficult, but if you think it’s connected to your rejected café, you could share details from your submission confirmation mails, how exactly your submission looked like
A wayfarer team member might be able to offer some assistance tomorrow, so I would wait and see if someone can help.
If it’s Wayfarer related, steps can be skipped if the abuse is severe. I would imagine the games can do the same.
You can go from no suspension to a 10 year one but I’m not aware of that happening yet. I don’t think anyone would own up if it did happen to them though.
