So, I put in a request for a Pokémon Gym near where I live, and it got accepted, and it still hasn’t shown up 48 hours later. I’d greatly appreciate if you guys added it, since there’s like nothing out here.
Can you share the coordinates from the email? Someone here can look it up on the map.

Without knowing the location, which is understandable, all I can do is recommend this post:
It looks like all the park things are in one cell so your options for getting the second stop needed to spawn a gym here are slim. Maybe see about setting up a little free library in the park near the entrance in one of the free cell. Walk around and see if there are any plaques or other small things in the north side of the park. If you submit the basketball court and put the pin on the south side of the court then you should get a powerspot next month. same with the south end of the horseshoe game. Are there any sports that people would like to play in the neighborhood that could be added to the park on the north end? soccer, volleyball, bocce ball, cornhole?
I intentionally didn’t share satellite view to make the place less identifiable since privacy was a concern. @niktero made some great suggestions.
Maybe you could turn the stop that’s already there into a gym?
We are just players like you. Even wayfarer employees dont have the power to just make something a gym. Gym and pokestops are determined by pogo’s location inclusion rules. Wayfarer just manages the list of locations they choose from. In this case to get a gym you need a second waypoint to become a pokestop.
