Pokestop and Dynamax Raid on same location glitch

Hello everyone! I recently added a Waypoint for a nature preservation spot but when it got added, a dynamax raid and pokestop both spawned and its hard to access either of them. (its in Barrington New Hampshire) There’re 3 dyna raids near this location so how do I apply to remove the raid spot but keep the pokestop? Thanks!!

You can’t, really

I have a similar situation where a dynamax spot and a pokestop merge sometimes

The max spots only last a couple of days and seem to be on a bit of a rotation, so likelyhood is most of the time the stop will be easier to access

Sadly “report” does nothing so far - most of the max spots here are either fake, outdated or in the road, so have been reported but none have been removed

I have not seen this in person, but have seen several examples shared. There is nothing you can do through Wayfarer to fix this.

You can try reporting the Powerspot in game, but that hasn’t done anything for any of the ones I have reported.

You could also try reporting to Pokemon Go through in game support.

Please let us know if this fixes itself when the current Powerspot boss goes away. Someone suggested that it might.

Just to confirm, there are examples like this out there.

It is the same Wayspot with the same name being used as both a Powerspot and a Pokestop.

[Edit: these were called Frankenspots in one Discord server I am in.]

Yeah this was how one of my local ones looked  it was an architectural detail on an apartment block coinciding with a home business at one of the apartments
You could spin the stop only from a precise location on 1 side

Omg frankenspots :laughing::laughing::laughing: amazing

@NianticAaron said you can report them.

I wish you all well in your wasted time and endeavours.

I have never seen “merged” Powerspot and Pokestops at the same time, but I see your evidences - which is interesting, wonder about the mechanism causing this.

I have only so far seen Wayspots become Powerspots when another wayspot iin the same cell is a Pokestop.
And if someone makes an accepted move of that wayspot, that is a Powerspot, into a “free” cell - the actual wayspot is now a Pokestop in the new cell and the Powerstop is remaining in the original position. And that could be really close to each other > but not merged.

I have. I nominated a local taco place back in October, and last week I went to spin the stop there and a Power Spot was right above the stop. It’s a little annoying, but both the stop and spot are in the most accurate location for the shop. I put the pin at the front door of the shop, and the Power Spot just happens to be there, too, so I don’t want to move one and have it be seen as manipulation.

BTW, there are no other Wayspots in this cell, just the shop one that I submitted. The rest of the cell is the parking lot, a little of the nearby gas station, and the street that runs in front.
