Hello, several Wayfarers from Taiwan have noticed something:
Many Pokestop images have disappeared.
Yes, they are still in the game, some are even over ten years old.
But the images just suddenly disappeared.
We tried uploading new photos (and received approval emails),
Logically, the photos should update to a usable state,
but they still don’t update. We don’t know why.
This looks like poor network connectivity to me, especially since your first image shows a spinning white icon. If the photos had actually been removed, I think there would be a placeholder image of that tan and white line art.
Thanks for bringing it to our notice @EONloveu . Looks like these image formats are not supported any longer. I have fixed it for some of the Wayspots that had multiple images and you should see them reflected on the gameboard soon.
Unfortunately, these two had only the unsupported images. If you could submit images to these Wayspots and ping here, I’ll make the changes.
