I recently received a formal Wayfarer Policy Violation Warning, but I’m honestly not sure which of my recent actions caused it. I always try to follow the Wayfarer Criteria and Niantic Player Guidelines, so this warning came as a bit of a surprise.
I’ve already reviewed the resources linked in the message, but I’d really appreciate if anyone could share their experiences:
Have you ever received a similar warning before?
Did Niantic provide specific details about what triggered it (e.g. a nomination, a review pattern, or something else)?
What steps did you take afterward to make sure it didn’t happen again?
I’d also like to know if submitting an appeal is worth it in cases where you genuinely believe you haven’t violated any rules.
I’m not trying to argue against Niantic’s decision — I just want to understand what went wrong so I can improve and continue contributing properly to the Wayfarer community.

You should’ve received some emails when this happened, one of which will show you the name of the wayspot and a brief description of what it was flagged for.
The message says that Niantic sent me an email from no_reply@nianticlabs.com with more details — however, I haven’t received anything in my inbox or spam folder.
It seems its 1st strike from abuse ladder system. You might want to be careful moving forward because next warning might be 30days suspension.
In the other hand, you have 1 year redemption period where all previous warning will be gone if you dont receive additional warning within that period.

As long you take extra caution when nominating, its safe to submit. Make sure the pin location is in correct location and put yourself in reviewer point of view. By putting your self in reviewer point of view you can better understand if your nomination have chance to be reported or no
