Hello Explorers,

Our team has identified an issue with one of our internal tools that is preventing some confirmation emails from being sent out. This issue appears to have begun 08/18/2025 around 8:00am PST. The impacted emails are:

  • Edits Decided by the Community

  • Photo Appeals Received

  • Contributions Decided by Our Team

Please know that the issue is related to our email system only and does not impact the outcome of your contributions. In the meantime, you can check the status of your contributions in the Contribution Management section after logging into your Wayfarer account.

As we start shipping fixes, you may receive emails in English for any of the above email types. Once all of the issues are resolved, you will begin to once again receive all emails in your selected supported language.

Thank you for your patience and for being a part of our community. We’ll be sure to post an update as soon as the issue is resolved.

Pretends to be serious We demand free upgrades shakes fist

So that’s why when I upgraded an edit I didn’t get an email saying it was decided. Been waiting for days, just looked and it was accepted, who knows when.

At least this gives me a reason to obsessively check my contributions page for a change in status :smile:

Yeah, just saw that a nomination I submitted on Aug 18th got approved, and didn’t get an email for it. Thanks Contribution Management!
