When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Girli Mural
  • Location (lat/lon): 31.93773° S, 115.84156° E
  • City: Leederville
  • Country: Australia
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
  • Additional Information (if any):

This mural no longer exists and has been totally painted over in black. The non-existence of this mural is verified to an extent by the current wayspot photo being more than 11 years old (i.e. no further photos submitted since). In addition, there should be a lack of AR uploads in your records for this wayspot.

I have provided a current photo of the pinned wayspot location. You will note that this current photo shows the same building as the one in the wayspot photo. Common features include air conditioner unit, drainpipes, exhaust vents and windows.

I request that you reconsider your previous decision not to remove this wayspot.

Just to note citing the fact that the photo is old is not proof of something being removed. I have several wayspots around me that have old photos that no one has been bothered to retake with a modern camera - the actual wayspot hasnt changed. AR data is also not something that is part of Wayfarer.
In this case your photo is a good match to the wayspot so that should do.

This one also looks like SFPRP just from the wayspot photo, which should help if it requires removing.

I didn’t know that about the AR data. Thanks for that. Cheers

The location is definitely at the rear of a commercial shop front.
