Seating Benches

Memorial benches can only be eligible under the criteria for exploration if they are dedicated to a notable figure and that notability is described in the nomination. Mass produced memorial benches dedicated to friends and family are not eligible unless the nominator provides evidence of the individual’s importance to the community. Picnic Areas

Picnic areas are great places to be social! Note that a picnic area with a group of tables constitutes one nomination. However, not all picnic areas are eligible across the board. For example, a picnic table on single-family private residential property should not be accepted. [image] Picnic areas and tables that appear to be permanent, even if not bolted to the ground like those above, are great places for socialization.

Its not enough. People are known to lie about their submission. If the object cant be seen from satelite / street view and you didnt provide any other evidence, i believe most will reject it anyway

You can submit signless park entrances. They are usually rejected by the community (or even by the automated process), but I have good luck getting them accepted on appeal. I tend to name them by the road they’re coming off ie xyz Road Entrance to xyz Park. Here are 2 examples I’ve had accepted, one by Niantic Review and the other on appeal

Parks & Outdoor Recreation

Parks are great places to explore, exercise and socialize. A nomination can be made for a park even if a park does not have a physical sign but is clearly a park. If there is an obvious entrance or focal point, that would be a good location to place the pin, but equally the middle of the park may be suitable.
