Do I need geotagged pictures for this kind of thing?

you can make location edit requests through help chat on the wayfarer site at Niantic Wayfarer

a speech bubble will pop up and a bot will collect info, but a human will review the ticket. you can submit geotagged photos there for evidence, but if it is clear on google maps, you may not need them.

Oh fyi if it was at the exact same coordinates at another thing you submitted at the same time, that is a known glitch in pokemon go when you don’t back out completely between nominations. They should recognize what happened if that was it.
