These wayspots no longer exist as both these plaques have been removed following a long-standing campaign - refer
https://nit.com.au/07-12-2021/2597/renewed-optimism-for-truth-telling-at-wanneroo-mission-farm-site AND Petition · City of Joondalup to remove plaque commemorating "Native Experimental Farm" immediately! - Australia · Change.org AND Petition update · Victory! The mission commemorating plaques have been removed! The truth can begin to be told! · Change.org
Thanks for the appeal, @apokecalypto! We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
@NianticLC To date, only one of these two wayspots have been removed.
The wayspot “Wesley Mission Farm 1884-1852” at location -31.808742, 115.817022 is still showing in the game. Please confirm that this wayspot will be removed as well.
Thanks for all your help.
Hi, @apokecalypto! Due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to remove the Wayspot in question. If you have additional evidence to share, like geotagged images or 360° video, please submit a new appeal with additional information, and we’ll take another look.
I refer you to the previously provided link Petition update · Victory! The mission commemorating plaques have been removed! The truth can begin to be told! · Change.org which states in part “I am incredibly moved to let you know that the two plaques, which have hurtfully and incorrectly commemorated the Wesleyan Mission Farm / Native Experimental Farm at Yellagonga Regional Park, on Whadjuk Noongar Country since 1998 - have been removed today”. This link also includes a photo of one of the two plaques being dug up
The two plaques that are referred to in this link were also two wayspots “Wesley Mission Farm 1884-1852” and “Wesleyan Mission Farm St”; one of which was removed by Niantic as part of my original appeal.
Based upon your reply, it would appear that you have not considered the previously provided evidence or geotagged photos before sending your response.
I will revisit this site today and will provide you with more geotagged photos
Thank you
@NianticLC Unfortunately, system restrictions do not permit GPSMap Camera video to be uploaded. Hopefully the updated GPS photos will be sufficient for you.
The gap between the bollards is where the plinth / plaque used to exist
This is the last Google Maps Image (February 2024) of the plaque which was removed in April 2024 (refer to the previous change.org link)
@NianticAaron Are the aforementioned posts sufficient to get the wayspot for the second plaque removed or do I need to submit a fresh report.
Thanking you in anticipation of your response.
Regards
Hi, @apokecalypto! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
