Does the basketball on the side of the house not indicate this as being private property? Along with the lack of dual entrances (it might be a semi-detached house, but that doesn’t change anything), this is showing as SFPRP.
May I seek clarification please? Does this outcome mean we can now submit and approve basketball hoops on the side of SFPRP?
This wayspot isn’t the basketball hoop, but an ornament in someone’s front garden.
Ahhh… Just checked on the Maps. Let me reframe my question…
May I seek clarification please? Does this outcome mean we can now submit and approve garden ornaments on a SFPRP?
We need to remember that this appeal is about this wayspot.
So it is not something that should imply anything about other wayspots.
It must come down to the evidence around whether the strip of land it is on is part of the house or public land.
It looks like the strip along side the road with trees is public land
The question the is where is boundary next to the house.
The wayfarer team appear to have decided that it is approx where I have drawn a red line - the patch of grass.
I think there is a difference between the way the grass is maintained and the roadside strip.
The white fencing is also indicating an enclosed area. Which does not extend to the road strip.
I don’t know the best place to view land registry in Netherlands for certainty.
Outcomes of appeals are never to be taken as clarifications. Yet I do not understand this decision either, but apparently the team does not warrant this specific SFPRP location sufficient for removal.
This includes the whole property, the patch of grass belongs to the house there:
I know… however, if the ornament on the property isn’t considered illegible, I am wondering if someone in Niantic could provide some clarification. Not saying the decision is an automatic clarification.
Very definitive image on that link, showing the front garden is part of the property.
@elijustrying I understand what you are showing (nice view, I hadn’t found that), but it would be a stretch to imagine the red line is the property boundary, as grounds maintenance requires using the private driveway to access the grass.
I agree that I would find it surprising …..
That’s what I was saying by the way it was maintained and the difference.
Hey @iFrankmans ,
We have removed this Wayspot after further consideration. You should see the changes reflected soon.
