At a glance close by, I can see at least a couple of my created Wayspots have now become PokéStop Showcases in PokémonGo:
I used to be able to see one Showcase from home, and now I can see six, so it seems to be a significant update. I’m very curious how many of my Wayspots that were previously regular ol’ PokéStops are now Showcases. Might make for a nice little update to the Wayfarer Map down the line to have that bit of info noted on each Wayspot, especially since there are seemingly now a much larger number of them.
Whether in game or in Wayfarer, it would be really nice if they were visibly marked all week, since it affects gym creation. This also would allow players with limited time to plan their travels.
I have so far spotted two new ones, both are on stops I submitted within the last three months. One of those is the only stop in its grid and would probably become a gym (if a second stop is approved in that grid) but is now ineligible.
Too bad rural areas aren’t guaranteed one. I know of at least one level10 cell that had one and now doesn’t. There are at least 5 pokestops in the cell.
Also know of a college campus (formerly part of a military base) which has been corrected in osm and has wild spawns now but has no showcases.
Damn sorry to hear that. But so if you have two pokestops close it becomes a gym or gets upgraded
In this case the new pokestop eligible Wayspot would become a gym.
(I would also love to see the Showcase stops on the map!)
