When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

Additional Information (if any): My submission was denied for using third party images. So I walked the two minutes from my home to take them myself from better angles. It was denied again as having third party images. I appealed it with that information and staff only responded by reiterating the denial email. I am furious, and I thought that the place would be perfect for a location because it randomly has Dynamax battles under the misspelling of Eddy’s Tavern.
The only (not completely) sensible reason I can think of for this is if you had also uploaded these same images to the Internet ie added them to google maps for example. For some reason, niantic state that these are 3rd party even if you took them yourself. I think this makes no common sense, but at least you can sort of understand to a point
However I have had photos I’ve taken myself and not shared anywhere at all also rejected for 3rd party photo, which is just really frustrating.

I never uploaded the images elsewhere. At first I thought it was denied because I forgot to add that the place allows all ages because they also serve food, but I was wrong.
unless between the different tries there had been different reasons, this is a rejection by Wayfarers Machine learning and has nothing to do with 3rd party photos. The readable license plate is one actual factor here why this can not be allowed
This is one I would taken closer to the building or used a better zoom. I would resub if possible.

I would appeal the warning. I don’t know the process off hand, but if what you are saying is correct, it can be sorted out.
Oh wow that warning is very confusing isnt it! I think that is inaccurate and was likely due to the license plate. Not a good experience is it!
Often staff will send a DM about issues like this. Hopefully you can straighten it out that way. I assume the email you shared is a result of appealing?
I would recommend that you further appeal (if you can) this suspension.
You should request that they compare your nomination photo with your supporting photo. They should find that both these photos share common focus, lighting, sky colour etc.
I did two Google Image searches. The first search included the motor vehicle that is parked outside the tavern (your original photo) and returned a result that referred to your previous post in this chat. The second search cropped out the motor vehicle and focussed on the tavern (which dominates your photo). This search verified that the image was “Eddies Tavern” and showed various photos of the tavern, none of which were your photo.
I appreciate that this is not a definitive test, but the results do create some doubt about Niantic AI finding your photo to be from a third party source.(especially if AI is reliant upon Google Reverse Image search)
