Hello, i would like to know if a basket swing (not typical swing) is not seen as an integral part of a playground included in an already existing pokestop reffering to the playground but instead should have its own pokestop?
They look like this:
I expect you have seen this, but I will link the clarification here:
It is a judgment call on whether a playground item should be considered as part of the whole or separate. Plus, having been accepted separately, the item may not meet standards for removal.
Would you like to leave a location so we can give more feedback on whether this particular swing should just be part of the larger playground? And/or a photo of the larger playground?
hello, heres a street view on the west side of the playground(its quite wide) looking south at it, the closest swing being the one in question
Separate issue:
to the east of the playground, there are two gyms next to each other, behind them theres a slide pokestop that is clearly mislocated, and probably refers to a slide on the east side of the playground
I am not level 37 yet so i cant attempt to modify the location. But i will when ill reach lvl 37.
I can see how people may have accepted it separately from the main play area based on satellite view. But there is definitely some funny business going on here. Balansoar cu lanturi (Link to the Ingress Portal if anyone wants to look)
The pink dot shows where the basket swing is pinned, which is impossible. The gray exclamation point shows where the basket swing actually exists.
Does your topic title indicate that you have reported this and the report was rejected? You can appeal a rejected report in Wayspot Appeals They will need a screenshot of the rejection email. Even if they don’t think it qualifies for removal, they may correct the location.
I found the slide that is clearly not where it is pinned
Topogan pentru copii
From Street View, you can see the slide is at the playground.
I found the two gyms on Campfire. You were just giving those as a reference point, right?

oh… are the pokestops where they are because of those S2 cells? does the guideline that playgrounds and their items should be seen as one not apply as long as they are not in the same cell?
The S2 cells determine whether the Wayspot can show up in Pokemon Go. It appears that the ones that were misplaced were probably done to put them in a free L17 cell, which is abuse.
The S2 cells have NOTHING to do with critieria.
I meant that the grassy area the swing is in could be considered part of a separate area from the main playground. I should have turned off the S2 grid in that view to keep from confusing the issue.
are you talking a bout the path separating the wooden castle and this swing? that is rather the entry to that side of the playground, as can be seen from the streetview, as that path ends where the wooden castle begins.
To me the playground looks like this:
Yellow numbers: sections; first and third include playground items; maybe the third’s is for smaller children (debatable), second includes sports equipment for which there already is a pokestop.
Red numbers: paths that allow pedestrians to cross to the other side of the park
Blue arrows: entries into the park which get you to the other side of the park
How I see the playground doesn’t really matter. I am not there, and there is no hard and fast rule anyway. I was trying to explain how there could be different opinions on this.
I can’t rule on which of these is eligible separately. To me the sports equipment is clearly a separate point of interest from the playground for children. But the rest of it is a gray area. A lot of Wayfarer is using your best judgement.
ok; understood. thanks for assisting me in this
