Thanks very informational.
Have you checked the Intel Map to see if they are already there? Not all the POIs will show in Pokémon and other games due to Inclusion rules in each game. Primarily Pokémon Go.
Do PM me with your coordinates and I can help you plan a bit more and quality check for you.
My new neighborhood has one giant mailbox located near the entryway , and it keeps being denied for âcriteriaâ. Yet I can select a tag for âmailboxâ and itâs literally the only place on our neighborhood where everyone from the community gathers daily and meets each other.
In a choice that has confused Wayfinders for years, the list of category choices does not imply those categories are eligible things. There are also categories for âFire Stationâ and âPower Plantâ, as well as other ineligible things and places. We shouldnât assume that if you we find a category for something that that âthingâ may be eligible.
As an aside, in some cases mailboxes are considered eligible by the community in the UK. Thatâs another topic for discussion entirely.
So the person denying them are racist because we are not in the rich part of town ?
No, the people denying them are righfully doing so baded on criteria regardless of what part of town its in.
Most likely the Machine Learning AI is declining the nomination due to it not meeting criteria. If you got an email with a rejection from âour teamâ then thats what happened. As others have said unfortunately mailboxes dont meet any criteria and typically arent distinct and are just generic (which is why you might get a rejection for âgeneric businessâ or ânot temporary/distinctâ if it did reach community voting since unfortunately we dont always have the best way to clearly define why its being rejected and just have to yse whats available) It has nothing to do with any other factor than wayfarer criteria. I typically recommend new explorers to look at the Criteria Clarification Collection as that helped me build my eye for what could be a good wayspot. I also recommend https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/t/top-mistakes-made-when-nominating-and-how-to-avoid-them its worth the read imo.
If the rejection comes as a community decision then it has gone to a wide range of community reviewers to assess against the guidelines.
The personal mailboxes are considered a utility item. What happens at them will vary. Someone may say several of us go at the same time and have a chat, some might say the opposite. Its function is that you go collect and leave.
I have seen instances where there is a community notice board next to them. That would be something that is eligible as it meant to be a place that you go to find out information that might include community events.
If there isnât a board like that is there a chance that one could be installed ?
I am at a complete loss as to how racism and ârich part of townâ entered this conversation. I donât believe I even implied anything along those lines.
