I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question. I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. The S2 cell use has not been officially confirmed as far as I am aware, but staff has acknowledged there is an additional step after acceptance. Unfortunately, we don’t “currently” have an up to date map but if you can give us the GPS Co-Ords we can check if there is something stopping your “waypoint” from being used that was in place before the split in May 2025.

Assuming this is an occupied cell problem, Your nomination may…

• become a Powerspot (Dynamax / Gigantamax) depending on its proximity to other waypoints.
• replace the existing waypoint if that is removed for legitimate reasons. ***
• be used in other Scopely games.

***Do Not attempt to get a legitimate wayspot removed just to get yours on to the map. This is seen as Abuse and can lead to suspension / bans of all accounts (Wayfarer, Pokemon Go and any other Scopely games).
