A bit late, but thats not entirely true. Scaniverse on iOS was integrated with Lightship so Wayspots and its 3D models are visible in the app, allowing you to directly submit new scans to it. If you enable Developer mode in the app you can also continue to activate VPS and edit Wayspots like you could do in Wayfarer.
What is true is that Scans that were made before the integration or Scans that havent explicitly been linked to a Wayspot will be added to the seperated Scaniverse database instead, with no way to migrate them to Lightship as far as I can tell.
This is the part I would like to understand more. I have done a few scans that would be great to upload.
Doing a fresh scan with developer mode creates a scan that by comparison to scaniverse scans looks poor.
I would like to integrate my good ones.
