Hello Wayfarer Team,
Thank you for taking the time to review my original appeal.
I’d like to respectfully request one additional review because I believe some important context may have been overlooked.
Courtney’s BBQ is not a generic fast-food restaurant or chain business. It is a locally owned restaurant since 1999, that has become a destination within the Clover community. It meets Wayfarer’s goal of encouraging people to explore local places and gather socially.
Some additional information supporting its significance:
Courtney’s BBQ has an established online presence and its own website.
It has numerous positive reviews and is recognized by both locals and visitors.
The restaurant has unique branding and décor, including distinctive murals and signage.
It serves as a local gathering place rather than simply a place to purchase food.
I’ve included additional photographs showing:
the unique exterior,
the murals and décor,
and the permanent signage identifying the business.
IMHO - this submission has many rejection points. I would have rejected the submission, because the image submitted is of a banner, not permanent lettering. Additionally the submission is sun damaged (low quality) and this image itseld is taket in poor ligting conditions. Shall I go on? The submitted poor quality sign is for a brewery (Adult location) and there are no sidewalks around this roadside resturant bringing into question the safety.
It is laughable to claim that a restaurant with parking does not have safe pedestrian access. The sign shown is beside a door. How do people go inside to dine if it isn’t safe?
The photo has zero quality issues. It is well lit, in focus, and clearly illustrates the point of interest.
I look at it through the eyes of a UK reviewer.
My view is the photos are fine - there is only a requirement for them to be clear what the object is, which they do.
And not every object needs to be photographed when it was new and pristine.
I was a little confused about the brewery aspect. It wouldn’t cause an issue at all in the UK. But I followed the links and it became clear. This is a great place to visit and eat.
There is perfectly good safe access…..
People park up and walk in.
I think plenty evidence was provided to show this is somewhere that people would go to socialise and fits with local culture around BBQ food….wish I had chance to experience this
