Although the waypoint is not defining the police station - its position makes it dangerous for trainers. The police station is located in an isolated area reserved for fire departments , emergency services and although there is a pedestrian sidewalk - police are active 24 hours (office hours 9-5pm) . Yes, they have a back parking for police vehicles (as seen from google view) but the front area is also utilized for photo ops and other police departments to transfer perpetrators
Also even I have been asked by officers there why am i standing around (politely) and I told them I was just playing Pokemon.
I’ve attached several instances where police stations are not suitable for trainers to be standing around(and approved for removal) - especially this highway patrol police station - officers usually fly down this street to respond to accidents on nearby highway . Coupled with sheriff and fire department adjacent to each other.

Some recent news where Dublin CHP were sent to investigate. Since the incident happened on Dublin CHP jurisdiction (although caught somewhere else) usually evidence , the car (the vehicle background is not at Dublin CHP), the perpetrator are brought back to the proper designated police area. I would hate to be around the station while a perp is brought in . The Santa Rita Jail is also closeby
