Proposed Title Change: Obelisk “Ofiarom totalitaryzmu”

Proposed Description: Pomnik upamiętniający ofiary niemieckiego nazizmu i sowieckiego komunizmu. Miejsce pamięci poświęcone wszystkim, którzy doświadczyli cierpienia i śmierci w wyniku działań totalitarnych reżimów podczas II wojny światowej.

Proposed Photo Change: Please update the primary photo of this Wayspot. The correct, current photo of the new obelisk has already been submitted, exists in the game’s photo gallery, and is visible in the attached file

.
Please set this specific photo as the main cover photo for the Wayspot, as the current main photo displays the non-existent monument.

Explanation and Evidence: Please update the name, description, and primary photo of this Wayspot to reflect the current reality. The old monument Pomnik Armii Czerwonej no longer exists, and a completely new monument has been built in its place. Here is the chronological timeline with official media coverage as proof:

The text on the new monument in the attached image

fully matches the requested Polish title and description. The current setup in the game is outdated and misleading. Please accept the requested changes. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum @4drax

If the old monument and the new monument are for different purposes, then the correct course of action would be to request removal of the old wayspot, and then submit the new monument as a new wayspot.

What you are attempting to do here could be classed as repurposing, which is against the rules.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I didn’t know about that. In that case, I’ll do as you said.

Thanks for the appeal, @4drax! We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspot in question.

We suggest you submit a new nomination for the new monument. Please refer to the submission criteria (Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center)
