Why does this submission keep getting rejected?

Please provide:

  • A screenshot of your nomination, including rejection reasons if it has already been rejected
  • Include the title, description, both photos, and supplemental information
  • Copy and paste the title, description and supplemental so others can translate them
  • If you feel comfortable please share the location, as it is helpful (i.e. hidden duplicates), but you can mask it if you wish.

Welcome to the forums

Please have a look at these for understanding what makes a good wayspot.

Also Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center

Every wayspot has to meet one of the key criteria

  • Exploration
  • Exercise
  • Social

This shop does not meet any of these as it isn’t sufficiently special to be valid under Exploration. If you feel it does, then you can appeal and provide evidence to the appeal reveiwer.

But it’s a unique landmark in a very historic town.

Hey @PokeMama11 ,

Thanks for submitting a Wayspot nomination.

If you feel that your rejected nomination should have been approved, you can now appeal it. To appeal a rejected nomination, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Wayfarer
  2. Go to your Nomination Management page: Niantic Wayfarer
  3. Click the nomination you’d like to submit an appeal for
  4. Click the Appeal button and enter a note on why this nomination should be accepted.
  5. Click Submit nomination.

Note you can submit only two appeals per 15 days. If you have already submitted two appeals, you may see an error when you try to appeal another nomination.

Best,

But does it meet any of the 3 main accepts in the criteria

  • Exploration
  • Exercise
  • Social

How unique is it? it’s a Candy Stand

If you want to appeal, I recommend providing evidence of it being a unique landmark and special. Don’t just state this, and definitely don’t just say “this should have been approved”. You need weblinks.

Also note that the object has to be permanently installed. It looks like this stand can be moved away from its location due to having wheels.

Yes, I was thinking that too. I have had stuff denied for being “temporary” simply because it’s not visibly anchored, even when it’s visible on streetview and been there for 15 years.

For temporary, you may need to use an appeal but you could show evidence if it’s been on Streetview for 15 years.

What it won’t prove is that it meets criteria

It keeps getting auto rejected before it even makes it to be voted on.

I agree. I would have rejected it for this reason. It can be moved

That is why Niantic Aaron provided you with guidance for how to appeal. The appeals are reviewed by Niantic staff.
