Why is my wayspot(pokestop) not accepted?

Hi, I think there is a lot of confusion here. I understand the frustration when your nomination gets rejected, but all wayspots nominated through games are nominated to the Lightship database, and reviewed through the Wayfarer system, which has a unique set of criteria not specific to games. A rejected wayspot is a rejected wayspot, and it has nothing to do with the fact that it wasn’t eligible for Pokémon GO location-wise, this cannot cause a rejection. An Ingress-nominated wayspot has the exact same odds to appear in Pokémon GO than a Pokémon GO-nominated one at the same coordinates.

It is very possible to shift towards more approvals for your nominations and avoid the frustration, if you’re willing to share examples, the community on here will be happy to advise on what is likely to be a good submission and what has no chance, as well as on the system in general. There is currently a layer of automated rejections and acceptances that is likely to decide your nomination in the first place. Sometimes talking it out with the community can be helpful as when we start out we don’t have a lot of guidance and are likely to look around for already approved things as examples for our own nominations. However it’s not that simple, older things that you see around you could well have been approved at a time criteria were different, mistakenly or as a result of abuse. Your best bet is to follow criteria, which you can start checking out at Niantic Wayfarer when logged into your Wayfarer account.
