Will Monster Hunter Now map ever sync with Pokémon GO?

Hey everyone,

I’m playing Monster Hunter Now and my area is basically empty — almost no nodes, monsters, or resources.

I’ve read that the game might still be using an old Pokémon GO / Wayfarer database, and it doesn’t seem to reflect newer map updates at all.

Does anyone know if Niantic plans to sync the map data with Pokémon GO more regularly? Or is it just going to stay like this?

Would appreciate any info or experience from others.

Hello and Welcome to the forums,

First a clarification, the Monster Hunter Now map syncs with the Wayfarer database, not with the Pokémon GO map, all of the Niantic games that Scopely acquired from what is now Niantic Spatial sync from the same map that is driven by Wayfarer.

That said, this is probably a question better suited for the Monster Hunter Now team as the individual game teams control when their own gameboards. Unfortunately I haven’t heard of a MHN map sync in quite some time, I would reach out to the MHN team directly and ask. The most folks who pester them about it might prompt some action.

Good question. It appears the map hasn’t been synced in a long long time.

I recommend posting in this forum. Let’s make some noise and hopefully get an update from the Devs
