When an image is blank, should I select it as an inappropriate or select that all go with the criteria ?
Secondly see the picture, on what basis am I supposed to select the name for the place when I see no title or image? – these one have come to me a lot of times, I usually skip them till now, but ik that skips are limited so I just can’t skip them each time.
You can say they are all inappropriate. As @AMG7070 says, this won’t remove the placeholder image, but I will never say that a placeholder image is appropriate.
I really don’t like imported powerspots from being editable like this. I won’t do anything to support this if I can help it. Anything that makes imported powerspots be mistaken for actual wayspots makes life a lot harder for wayspot submitters and people on this forum, because people think that the powerspots are eligible things (to be wayspots). Most of them aren’t.
Skips are limited, but the limit is 100, each on a 24 hour counter. If the Wayspot has a picture like this, it is almost certainly an import by Niantic, and not something that was approved through the system. I think skipping is almost always the best thing to do, since we do not have any information to base the edit on. If submissions sit in the system long enough, I believe that Niantic will pull them into internal review and decide them.
If you do decide to review the edit, it doesn’t matter how you mark the placeholder photo, but I would reject it. Since it is the existing photo, nothing will happen if there isn’t another photo, and it will automatically be replaced if a real photo is added. For the title edit, you have no idea what the Wayspot is. Changing the original imported Wayspot to represent what is actually there might make sense to a player, but is repurposing the Wayspot and not allowed. I would skip this, or report this edit.
I like that the placeholder photo always stays for us reviewers so we know that this was a imported location, but even then, we shouldn’t get these kind of reviews.
