30 Day Account Suspension For Unknown Reason

Today, I logged into Pokemon Go to a 30 day account suspension. I have no idea why my account was suspended. I have never had a ban before and have played since 2016. I have spent a lot of money on the game and would never risk cheating and getting banned. I really love the game and have poured thousands of hours into it. It is really upsetting that I now am having to wait a month to play again with no prior bans and I wish I could have my ban appealed. I tried to appeal it already to no avail and I wish the ban could get overturned.

That is the only interaction I have had with Wayfarer, but it was a legitimate name suggestion

I’m not sure what you mean by name edits but no I haven’t.

If your account suspension is from Wayfarer, you should have received separate emails giving an example of the infraction. Did you get any emails?

I wish I knew how to contact human support because all the other methods I know are just bots that don’t help.

No I did not get any emails until after I appealed which were just bot replies.

Staff (humans) normally reply to questions about bans here on the forum. They will typically post that they are sending you a DM and will have a private discussion.

Thank you is there any way to like add them to this or will they eventually view it? Here’s what comes up in my mail associated with my email on the account as well.

They see every post on the forum, so there is no need to add or tag. They usually respond in 24 hours or less, but I do not want to make promises for them.

Ok thanks so much. I have submitted wayfair stops and had some excepted but I was never emailed any strikes or anything.

Thank you. I have checked all throughout my email and never received any of those let alone warnings. I was also wondering is there a direct message tab on here where a member of the staff could reach out eventually? I’ve never used this forum.

Check your spam folder. They may have ended up there. If it is through PoGo check the registered address if it is different from your Wayfarer one.

Thanks for the response. The email is the same. Had I received a warning that my activity was against guidelines I would’ve just stopped making requests entirely to not risk a ban. I still never received a warning and I feel an instant 30 day suspension is far too harsh. The fact that I did not receive a warning or previous suspension I feel should not have had me hit with a 30 day suspension.

This is my favorite game and I have spent years and hundreds of dollars on it. I wouldn’t want to ever jeopardize the community or my ability to play.

Best bet in that case is to wait for a member of staff to comment here or DM you and they will get to the bottom of it.

The suspension length doesn’t really matter as depending on the infraction you were suspended for it depends on the seriousness. It could have been in error so best to wait for contact from staff

Thank you for the feedback. I could understand an initial week ban or something if I somehow violated the guidelines but no warning and a 30 day ban seemed harsh to me.

A lot has to do with the offence you were rightly or wrongly suspended for. There is an abuse ladder of 1 day, 30 day etc. but seriousness of the offence can warrant straight to permaban without warning for something deemed very bad.

To say anything else without staff input and no email explaining why at this point would be just speculation so best to just wait for now.

They normally are pretty good at getting to the bottom of things and getting it resolved.

Just to make the comments you probably do not want to hear…

  • The Abuse ladder states that staff can go direct to higher rungs if they believe it is warranted. It does not need to go through each “Level”.
  • Time spent playing the game or the amount spent has no bearing on Warnings / Suspensions.

Hopefully staff will DM you shortly with more details and you can either show evidence that it was incorrect or sit back for 30 days if required.

Is there a forum that discusses if their punishments are too harsh? Like a 30 day ban that fast and then ten years has got to be the harshest system I’ve ever seen. Especially for wayfair violations not even spoofing or anything that is extremely harmful.
