Help Chat will not give you emails, just notifications to your browser session. You can add all kind of evidence to it, text, photos, videos - the team gladly takes a good summary of the situation you report
I have had success using help chat a few times, I’ve never used the form. I have reported a couple Wayspots located on schools that I found while reviewing (so couldn’t report in-game) and they acted on them. It’s a pretty simple process in my opinion, though it might take a couple days to hear back.
I was not expecting that. Wow! In this case, it probably would have made a decent Wayspot, but it’s impossible to properly review it when the photo is stolen. So they were right to remove it.
I just remembered… a week or two after the spot was approved, I reviewed a location edit for it. Presumably, someone wanted it moved to a more accessible point. I wonder if the edit attempt drew attention to it, too.
