A Nomination That Was Submitted & Accepted in 2023 Has Suddenly Resubmitted Itself

I received an email from notices@wayfarer.nianticlabs.com regarding a Wayspot that was submitted AND APPROVED that the same Wayspot was rejected.

The nomination date was June 13, 2025. I received the notice today, January 1, 2026 at 1:03AM EST. I dont know if it matters, but I nominated via the Pokemon Go App, via iPhone 15 at the time (June 13, 2025) I was on the most up to date OS for iPhone. (unsure of what it was then, but I always updated).

In addition, I also received several duplicate emails from the same time period notifying me of decisions.

Just seeing if others are seeing these emails.

After this discussion - the reported once disappeared from my wayfarer submission-list, and just about an hour ago I received an acceptance mail for one of the three.
It also shows up in my list as accepted.

Literally, what is going on with Niantic. I submitted a very popular PokeStop 2 years ago. It was accepted.

Two weeks ago, I got an email thanking me for submitting it. Today, I received an email that they declined it.

Note: it’s still there.

No, you don’t need to do that. Since it’s a rejected duplicate of your own successful accepted wayspot.

Ho ricevuto una mail di wayferer per una proposta mia bocciata, peccato che da oltre 3 mesi che non faccio una proposta, e comunque quel pokestop per il quale mi è arrivata la mail, oltre 3 mesi fa era stato approvato dalla community. È la seconda volta in poco tempo che ricevo una mail del genere, ho come l’impressione che qualcosa nel wayferer non funzioni correttamente. Non voglio ricevere altri ban che si riperquoterebbero su pokemon go per cose che sta volta non ho fatto. La mia esperienza su pokemon go causa il wayferer è stata già gravemente danneggiata, non sto proponendo più nulla, non voglio ricevere ban per cose che non ho fatto

I’ve started to get these now, three in total so far from 2023 like the others. Each nomination only has one photo - the supporting photo. In two cases I’d submitted the wayspot again. No confirmation email was received when the wayspots were originally submitted. Original submission dates were March to July.. right now I can’t see any other 2023 submissions outstanding but perhaps they will turn up.
