Hello guys,
I don’t know whether it’s the same elsewhere but for the last 2 days while reviewing pokestops in France I saw over 20 nominations with fake placements and some players don’t even hide it and write in comments “misplaced intentionally, otherwise it won’t appear”.
I mean, as a rural player I understand that we may want lots of pokestops but it’s the first time in over 2000 reviews that I see that many, from different places and it feels really frustrating reviewing these days as now I have to scrutinize each placement as never before…
Just wanted to share and hear your thoughts on this. I’ve heard that a couple of years ago there were multiple bots and abuses in France and Germany, feels like it’s back..

Sorry to hear. I would not suggest accepting nominations that look like obvious abuse, and if you encounter something obviously problematic I would suggest using the “Report abuse” form pinned at the top here, or the “Report abuse” button while reviewing. That’s the best you can do to flag any sort of localized or widespread problem to the team.
If you have specific examples you’d like to discuss further you’re welcome to share them here.

That’s what I do, I report them as abuses while reviewing. I’m just shocked by their quantity and I can’t stand the reasons of a sudden appearance of that many abuses..

The Wayfarer staff do act on these when reported, but the problem does seem persistent in some areas which indicates that there are organised voting rings operating. If the wayspots are obviously connected then it is worth pointing out the connection to staff.
Alternatively, you can post the information in the forum which will often get help from other reviewers, especially those who may be reviewing the same area.
