Abuse by a multi-account player

Hello, good afternoon, I have a question and a concern, about a week ago a multi-account player arrived and started taking over all the gyms and well then we attacked him, we went back up and he started attacking again and that’s how it is and then he got upset and said he would report the gyms for elimination, is this possible?

This is a Pokemon Go issue and not a Wayfarer issue. If you believe someone is abusing the ToC’s of Pokemon Go, you would need to report it via the In-Game Help Section.

Hello @LauriVR
To answer the wayfarer portion.
If the wayspots that are gyms exist and are valid nominations then there should be no concern.
The person would have to demonstrate either that they are ineligible or nonexistent for them to be removed.

If there is malicious game behaviour that should be reported via the game. That part we can’t help you with here.

Thank you so much for your response. If the gyms are real and their existence can be verified, as long as they exist, there shouldn’t be any problems, right?

I appreciate your response. Now I can relax.

Also that they are eligible. That was an important part.
The most common ineligible things are those on Single family private residential property.
Or if the they are on a school
Or obstructs emergency services

If 2 gyms are murals and 2 are in a sports court, then there shouldn’t be any problems. Except that this user has like 12 accounts and in a group he mentioned that he was going to report the gyms with all their accounts for deletion and we were concerned because apart from using multiple accounts he also uses third-party applications.

There is no ‘strength in numbers’ when reporting non-existent or illicit Wayspots. The staff look at all of the specific details that are available, and often reject the report for insufficient evidence.

Your bad-guy would then have to take GPS-photos to prove the murals and sports courts could not possibly be nearby in real life. This would be difficult to fake, and would open up the ne’er-do-well to scrutiny, too.

They are probably all talk and no action cheaters. If they somehow do succeed in getting the gyms and stops removed you should report that misconduct using the forms and methods available on this forum.

If the Wayspots for the gyms are eligible and do get removed, you can ask for their restoration in the Wayspot Appeals forum. Murals and sports courts are usually eligible, so it may also be a bit hard for this player to get those removed without additional evidence that they should be removed, ie they no longer exist, are on school grounds, anything that’s listed in the Rejection Criteria.

And do try to collect as much info as possible before reporting in-game. And if there are others you know in your area that also play, ask them if they are willing to submit a report, too.

Best case scenario, the player does try this and gets all their accounts permabanned for false reports.

Just a suggestion in case of “worse case scenerio”.

Do some screen grabs…

  • Open the Stop / Gym.
  • Screen grab.
  • Extra Info / “View in Map”.
  • Screen grab.

If he does somehow gets any removed you will have the full title / Long, Lat coordinates to pass.
