There is a spoofer absolutely tormenting my small town in Michigan he takes almost every gym every single evening and then if you take them back at night he will take them back again sometime between 2-4am. When he’s full on gyms he can take, he will knock the pokes out of gyms and leave them grey so you can’t even take them back right away because the gyms are still “under attack” according to Pokemon go programming. It’s absolutely destroying the fun for me, my friends and their kids, we get knocked out of gyms sometimes when we’re still sitting next to it, no other players in site, my complains seem to be falling on deaf ears because my reports have gone unaccepted. I now have screenshot proof and everything how he takes gyms 3 or more at a time.
What are the best ways to fight this type of cheating?
This is not wayfarer issue. Anyway you need to report to pogo. Wayfarer cant do anything. On the side way, just because he is actively taking down all gym doesnt mean he spoof. There are considerable acting radius that you may not see the player in action. Personally i wont bother with such player. I am actually prefer active gym takeover because that means i can get 50 coins daily
I have been playing ingress since 2014 and pogo since 2016. If there is anything that i learn about spoofer…report them if you have any evidence. But other than that, dont think too much. Just think of it as active gym takeover. When you go to mall, gym repeatedly change every 10mins and i cant even see who did it. Just think of it like that.
